Tips on Flag Care
When flying your flag we recommend it hung so it is free from branches, bushes, gutters, etc, and it should be free from any contact with your house. To reduce stress on the flag we sell poles equipped with anti-wrap clips or sleeves. This would allow your flag to move around the pole without tangling. Tangling can result in a torn and tattered flag.
For best results, do not expose your flag to severe weather conditions. Your flag will acquire its fullest potential if you remove it until the harsh weather subsides. Should your flag become wet, dry it completely before storing.
Your flag should be cleaned before storing. Smoke, dust and other airborne contaminants can stain the fabric. To clean your flag hand wash with a mild detergent and hang or spread it out to dry completely. Never fold or roll up a damp or wet flag. We offer a nylon flag bag (product 99003) for storing up to 12 flags for continuous rotation of your decorative flags.
Regardless of how well you care for your flag, it is constructed of cloth and will succumb to normal wear. However, you can, with reasonableness and applying the above suggestions, contribute to a longer life of your flag!
